The Original Shuckie
How the Shuckie was Born
Atlantic Cookie Company began with a vision from founder Carl Dittrich — to create a cookie inspired by the sea, shaped like an authentic seashell, and filled with something unexpected.
Carl imagined a cookie that felt playful and memorable, much like a fortune cookie, but entirely its own. The result was the Shuckie® — a seashell-shaped cookie with a signature hinge and a whimsical message tucked inside.
From Vision to Reality

A few years later, Carl teamed up with Matt Flynn, and together they focused on bringing the Shuckie to life on a larger scale. Through extensive research, countless tests, and plenty of trial and error, they worked to perfect both the look and the taste of every Shuckie.
That perseverance paid off. By focusing on the little details — shape, texture, flavor, and experience — the Shuckie became more than just a cookie. It became something truly unique.
